ON A TOTALLY UNRELATED NOTE, I GOT A 3.667 GPA AND MADE THE DEAN'S HONORS LIST FOR THE FIRST TIME IN MY ENTIRE COLLEGE CAREER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *tearz of eternal bliss*
Okay now that I got that beautiful piece of news out there, on Monday, I started my internship at an international realty company and let me just say - WOWZA!! What an incredible opportunity I landed… literally every day is something new, exciting, and different. So far I've met and shook hands with an international slumlord, gotten over my horse phobia while bonding with a cow-horse (okay okay fine it was a white horse with Dalmatian dog-looking spots…so I think it might have been an Appaloosa, but the owner of this farm for sale also had cows so this raises questions *arches eyebrow knowingly*), written a witty/sassy yet highly professional blog post for the company, prepared mass-mailing of marketing pamphlets, instructed to my boss to invite ALL of my Facebook friends to "like" the Facebook page for his team at the company, lost 3 annoyed Facebook friends after doing so, learned to use the MLS real estate system, hung out in what was once a commercial building but got burned down by an arsonist, filmed a marketing video, shook hands with an old lady -who mistook me as my boss's wife instead of his intern- that was getting taken advantage of by her female middle-aged demoness of a neighbor, pulled over on the side of a highway in a terrifyingly desolate and rural area to simply connect a cell phone's bluetooth to the car itself, gone to a somewhat local Starbucks with my boss that I'd never managed to go to until this very week, ordered one of the best caesar salads that I've ever had in my entire life at a nautical themed restaurant that looks like you're sitting in the inside of a ship, and so much more. I'm thinking that real estate is a really ideal field for me, and I'm even considering going the next level and getting a J.D. so I can focus on being both a real estate agent and a real estate lawyer and take care of closings for houses, too!
I'm done for the week until next Tuesday (hurray for Memorial Day Weekend!!), and I'm literally so excited to see what the future holds! Tomorrow (Friday) I'm starting physical therapy for my neck, back, and knees… here's hoping I get all fixed up for good this time :D I'll be sure to let you know how it goes!
Until Next Time,
xx BAS
