I'm STILL sick (can you believe!?!?!?…..)
But. A quick thought on friendship.
Friendship is an easy thing. For something so complex and meaningful, all of you have to is treat someone how your ideal friend would treat you. Be there for them when they need to talk. Share meals, jokes, secrets with each other. Go on faraway adventures together, or don't go on any at all - instead make your own adventures right where you are now.
It would be an understatement to say how thankful I am for each and every text message, snapchat image, instagram comment, Facebook chat message, and phone call seeing how I was feeling. Thank you thank you thank you for caring. It's something as simple as saying "Hope you feel better soon!" that can cause a speedier recovery, I'm certain of it. It seemed the more friends asked how I was feeling, the better I started to feel. And I think so much of illness can be cured by love and friendship and good things in the world (refer back to my post about The Secret Garden !)
Speaking to my grandma on the phone (I "un-lost" my voice!! Hallelujah!) and seeing my dog (my dad brought him to campus!!!) yesterday definitely helped me to recover quicker. Also, hearing that my mom only has a few treatments left gave me a little more strength, too!
I was always afraid of time passing, but now I see that I have the support from friends and family and Prince Harry who love me, that time isn't so scary after all, and I know what it means to care and be cared about.
Until Next Time,
xx BAS
